| TestimonialsFinger Lakes Productions International (FLPI) has launched "Hear the Answer,” an integrated media initiative that provides highly credible, short-form media covering sectors that include: ocean, nature, animals, science, and the environment.
The National Science Foun
dation Office of Legislative and Public Affairs (NSF) is partnered with the program and PBS Education is aligned with the effort. Hear The Answer is produced and coordinated by FLPI and WETA, the public broadcasting service serving our nation’s capital.
FLPI was founded in 1987 and has produced more than 22,000 audio features related to the ocean, science, nature and the environment. The company serves more than 400 radio stations daily with these 60- and 90-second feature series and is heard in more than 120 countries and territories via the Voice of America and American Forces Radio.
FLPI produces the “Everglades Radio Network” (ERN) for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. ERN is a 24/7 digital radio service heard via two FM transmitters located along the “Alligator Alley” section of I-75, in South Florida.
FLPI was selected, during the Bush Senior and Clinton administrations, to lead corporate sponsorship and privatization initiatives on behalf of the Voice of America.
FLPI founded and launched the Radio Voyager Network (RVN) in 1998. RVN became the first English-language commercial radio network to broadcast throughout Europe.
FLPI was a gold winner of a Mercury award for Interactive Media in 2000 for adapting the 24/7 RVN stream for the Ralston Purina Company from October 2000 to October 2001 to include 12-minutes of companion animal information within each programming hour. The customized service was then streamed from Purina’s corporate web sites and became the first 24-hour-a-day customized corporate, web-based, radio service of its kind.
FLPI has effectively represented the interests of Fortune 500 corporations and major philanthropic organizations with domestic and international marketing and communication programs.
FLPI has produced Public Service campaigns on behalf of the states of Florida, Massachusetts, and New York; the National Interagency Fire Centers; the Women’s Institute for a Secure Retirement; the American Red Cross, and many additional organizations.
