Wed., 6/11        Black raspberry decline: The US Department of Agriculture is actively working to identify a hardy black raspberry plant that they hope will repel aphids that carry a viral disease called black raspberry necrosis. 

Thu., 6/12        Probiotics chew the fat: A new study involving probiotic bacteria shows promise for weight loss research. 

Fri., 6/13        Harnessing microbes to convert oil into methane: Scientists at the University of Calgary are looking to harness the methane created by oil-chewing bacteria as a new energy source.
